We believe that EVERYONE… regardless of background or financial status… deserves the opportunity to explore the digital world, develop essential skills, and connect with future career and learning pathways.

Through partnerships with EdTech companies like CyberNix, educators, businesses, and industry professionals, we bring engaging and future-focused digital programs to schools, libraries, and community spaces across Aotearoa. Our work ensures that digital learning is inclusive, empowering, and responsive to the evolving needs of New Zealand’s tamariki and rangatahi.

Our Community

At Te Ako Hangarau, we are committed to breaking barriers in digital education and fostering innovation through hands-on, immersive, and community-based programs.

  • We provide free or low-cost digital education tools and access to technology for underserved communities. Whether through lending programs, workshops, or mobile digital hubs, we ensure that every student can participate—regardless of financial background.

  • We believe gaming is more than just play—it’s a pathway to learning, teamwork, and future careers. Our initiatives include:

    ✅ Funded eSports tournaments and gaming competitions for students who otherwise couldn’t afford to compete.

    ✅ Gaming equipment and training opportunities to develop digital literacy and strategic thinking.

    ✅ Motion-based gaming and sports science programs to integrate movement into digital learning (e.g., Just Dance, HADO).
